Sony Officially Unveils Gran Turismo 5 XL

A new version of Gran Turismo 5 hits shelves January 17, bringing with it all the additions the game has seen in the bygone year.

This morning, Associate Cartesian product Marketing Manager Brian Dunn took to Sony's PlayStation.Blog to formally unveil Gran Turismo 5 XL. Though the updated version of the game had been reported for quite some clock time, no one embroiled would confirm the game, but Dunn's send not only made the thing administrative body, it outlined what exactly the new title would let in.

All of that on a single PlayStation 3 Blu-Ray platter priced at $40.

One key out issue Dunn failing to address nevertheless, is what players might see when they first pop the disc into their console. When I prototypical fired up the unconventional Gran Turismo 5 I was asked to patiently wait for almost 45 proceedings while the game installed nearly 8GB of data to my PS3's Winchester drive. Similarly, the more Holocene Spec 2.0 update took over an 60 minutes to download and install. While I alike the idea of bundling every of this content together in a single disc, does that mean players are departure to have time to watch half a flavor of Game of Thrones while waiting out the installation?
